- Department of Fisheries and Oceans has supported educators in British Columbia and the Yukon who teach their students to understand, respect and protect freshwater, estuarine and marine ecosystems, and to recognize how all humans are linked to these complex environments. - The Shorekeepers' Guide developed by Fisheries and Oceans Canada presents an intertidal surveying methodology. The method is presented in a logical step-by-step manner starting from selecting a study area, to descriptions of each type of measurement, to entering the field data into the database, and finally, reporting your results. - GLOBE students explore environmental problems of local relevance. GLOBE students contribute data to an international scientific database and they design and carry out projects to improve their school and community.
